The Impact You Will Have

As a Senior Complex Claims Analyst, you will play a critical role in managing and resolving complex primary and excess Private D&O and Public D&O claims. You will proactively investigate, evaluate, and negotiate claim resolutions while ensuring compliance with established best practices and authority guidelines. In this highly visible role, you'll also cultivate strong relationships with brokers, clients, and internal business partners, helping to deliver exceptional service and strengthen Allianz Commercial's reputation in the marketplace.

Some of your specific responsibilities will include:

• Complex Claims Management – Investigate, evaluate, and manage complex primary and excess Private D&O and Public D&O claims, including those involving significant liability and coverage considerations.
• Coverage Analysis & Reserving – Assess coverage positions, determine appropriate reserve levels, and engage and oversee external service providers such as defense counsel, independent adjusters, and subject matter experts.
• Strategic Resolution & Settlement – Negotiate and resolve complex claims with a focus on achieving timely, cost-effective, and customer-focused outcomes.
• Advanced Negotiation – Collaborate effectively with claimants, attorneys, brokers, and other stakeholders to reach successful claim resolutions.
• Claims Excellence – Ensure claims are handled and settled in accordance with company guidelines, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Compliance & Authority Management – Maintain adherence to Allianz Commercial's claims procedures, authority limits, and governance standards, escalating matters as appropriate.
• Relationship Management – Serve as a trusted partner to clients, brokers, and key stakeholders while positively representing Allianz Commercial in the market.

What You'll Bring to the Role

• 7 - 10 years of claims handling experience, including a demonstrated track record managing liability claims with increasing complexity.
• Established relationships with brokers and a strong professional presence within the insurance marketplace.
• Deep understanding of liability insurance products, policy coverage, and claim adjustment practices.
• Strong knowledge of regional insurance markets, industry trends, and the competitive landscape.
• Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making is highly beneficial.
• Communication & Presentation Skills – Ability to clearly and confidently communicate complex issues, both verbally and in writing, while effectively promoting Allianz Commercial's claims capabilities.
• Technical Expertise – Detailed knowledge of Public D&O and Private D&O products, policy wordings, terms and conditions, and coverage applications.
• Claims Management Knowledge – Comprehensive understanding of the claims lifecycle, from initial notification through settlement and recovery.
• Writing Excellence – Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear, concise, and impactful correspondence and coverage analyses.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree preferred.

The annualized base pay range for this role is $130,870 – $197,720. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
