Head of Payments and back-office

What you do

  • Develop and implement the bank's payments strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and growth in payment services with focus on digital channels.
  • Collaborate with senior management to integrate payment solutions with other banking services.
  • Oversee daily operations of the payments department, ensuring high level of automation, efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts related to payment services.
  • In-depth knowledge of EU payment regulations.
  • Lead the adoption of new payment technologies and platforms.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate technology solutions and STPs.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives within the payments function.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing payments team.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in payments, banking, or financial services, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of payment systems, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and projects.
