Internal Audit Manager

Audit Planning and Execution:
Develop detailed audit plans based on risk assessments. Perform and lead audits on financial, operational, and compliance processes. Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance practices. Document audit findings, analyze results, and identify areas for improvement.
Risk Assessment:
Identify and evaluate the organization’s risk areas, and develop audit strategies to mitigate these. Assess the adequacy of risk management processes and suggest enhancements. Assess and review existing processes and controls to recommend best practices, efficiency improvements, and risk mitigation strategies. Collaborate with departments to implement process improvements and strengthen control. Supports management during the issue closure process.
Audit Reporting:
Prepare comprehensive audit reports summarizing findings, risk impacts, and recommendations for improvement. Present audit results to senior management and provide insights for. Ensure follow-up on audit findings and assess the adequacy of corrective actions.
Compliance:
Ensure that audits are conducted in accordance with internal audit methodology, best practices and external regulatory requirements. Monitor changes in laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.

- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in internal audit, external audit, or risk management, in the banking or financial services and have developed strong knowledge of the regulation and business operations of the European / Luxembourg market
- Experience in leading or coordinating audit projects.
- Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO) and audit standards.
- Proficiency in audit software and data analytics tools (e.g., Knime, IDEA).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present findings to senior management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- People coordination and coaching skills.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
- Master degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor).
