Broker Engagement Leader

We are looking for a Broker Engagement Leader, who will be based in our Chicago office.

The Impact You Will Have

This role is responsible for driving growth with target trading partners through building and developing relationships, product knowledge, and through proactive problem-solving. This role will support the Zone Leader, execute strategic initiatives to grow topline revenue, increase qualified broker submissions, and increase AzC's Share of Wallet ("SOW") with brokers.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

  • Lead and track the execution of broker-specific business plans, including product blitzes, managed account expansion, and sales call initiatives to drive measurable front-door metrics (e.g., # qualified submissions, submit to bound , SalesForce documentation)
  • Collaborate and support Zone Leader to advance growth strategies with target brokers in designated metropolitan areas within the zone
  • Identify and pursue Green Space opportunities and underserved/under penetrated accounts to expand AzC's footprint in the zone
  • Actively participate in production meetings to align with underwriting priorities and generate new business opportunities with Product/UW teams, identifying actions to increase qualified submissions, drive cross-sell opportunities, and ensure collaboration on priority targets
  • Increase AzC's Share of Wallet (SOW) with brokers by leveraging cross-sell broker platforms, structuring growth campaigns to target and secure new business submissions (i.e., qualified submissions), and tracking broker performance to optimize engagement strategies and tactics.
  • Coordinate educational initiatives and thought leadership (e.g., in collaboration with Marketing) to strengthen broker understanding of AzC's product offerings, appetites, and value proposition.
  • Travel to broker offices within Zone in alignment with Zone Leader
  • Coordinate colleagues from Allianz Multinational, Alternative Risk Transfer and Claims to ensure stakeholder knowledge of our capabilities and solutions
  • Lead governance meetings with brokers leveraging KPIs to assess performance, monitor progress on growth goals & SOW progress, and drive actionable insights to inform further decision-making
  • Collaborate with underwriting teams and Distribution leadership to clearly communicate AzC's Product-specific appetite, working closely with brokers to increase the volume of qualified submissions (i.e., fitting appetite).
  • Identify gaps or opportunities in broker submissions through structured analysis (work with Distribution Business Development Associates) and provide actionable recommendations to ensure submission quality

What You’ll Bring to the Role

  • 7-10 years' experience in proven track of Underwriting or Development role in commercial / specialty insurance business. Specialized knowledge in various Line of Business
  • 7-10 years' experience in proven track record in sales or distribution roles within commercial insurance, driving new and renewal business
  • 7-10 years' experience developing and executing growth strategies in collaboration within Distribution and Product
  • 7-10 years' experience working with commercial insurance products and aligning market opportunities with Product appetites
  • 7-10 years' experience in practical experience using SFDC or similar CRM platforms
  • The ability to ensure ethical AI practices and stay updated with emerging AI technologies will be key to maintaining a competitive advantage.

The annualized base pay range for this role is $121,188 - $188,683. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
