IT Asset & Data Integrity Manager (f/m/d)

This position is within the Core IT Services department, which provides IT infrastructure platforms to the business. You will be part of a global team responsible for IT Service Management & Integration (ITSM&I), collaborating with colleagues across Europe and Asia.
The team focuses on the ownership, continuous improvement, and execution of key IT processes; manages the ITSM platform (ServiceNow); supports the integration and oversight of service providers; and oversees the service transition of new applications.
This role will be based in Frankfurt, Germany.
What you will do
- Lead ITAM (IT Asset Management, including Software Asset Management) and CMDB-related (Configuration Management Database) projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, scope, and budget, including post-project operations.
- Act as process owner for assigned processes, and develop and drive AI use cases to improve maturity and adoption across the organization in collaboration with other Process Owners within ITSM&I.
- Enable and act as the customer owner counterpart to the outsourcing partner team for the respective scope of managed services.
- Establish and further develop the license management process, including operating model, governance, and tooling.
- Create management decision papers, status reports, risk and opportunity analyses, and other required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ITIL), regulations, and best practices in ITAM and CMDB processes, including benchmarking and KPIs.
- Support internal and external audits, including the provision of required evidence and fulfilment of audit requirements.
- Act as the primary subject matter expert for internal and external IT audits, providing timely evidence of asset tracking, software compliance, and CMDB accuracy, and remediating identified audit findings.
- Lead, support, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize ITAM and CMDB processes, manage dependencies with other initiatives, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Provide guidance and support to team members on ITAM and CMDB best practices and methodologies.
- Act as a point of contact for third parties and service providers, as well as Enterprise Architecture, IT Support, IT Compliance, Information Security, Business Resilience, Procurement, Finance, and other cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scopes, and develop detailed project plans.
- Oversee the execution of project tasks, ensuring effective coordination and communication among team members and stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely resolution of issues and challenges.
- Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders on project progress.
- Develop and maintain documentation and standards throughout project execution and ongoing operations.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in ITAM and CMDB practices.
What you bring
Required:
- University degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, and/or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT service management and IT operations.
- 5+ years of experience working with the ServiceNow platform.
- Ability to understand and translate complex technology processes into business‑relevant language to support informed decision‑making.
- Proven experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM), IT Configuration Management (CMDB), and license management.
- Proven experience in leading and delivering complex projects in IT operations and/or transformation initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform and/or its development and operations.
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist certifications, including:
- Data Foundations (CMDB and CSDM)
- Discovery (CIS‑DISCO).
- Hardware Asset Management (CIS‑HAM)
- Software Asset Management (CIS‑SAM)
- ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and CSDM (Common Service Data Model) certification, with strong practical knowledge.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), as well as problem‑solving and change management capabilities.
- Excellent command of English; German is a plus.
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence.
Preferred:
- Experience in the financial services, banking, and/or asset management sector.
- Experience in the creation and maintenance of the Information Domain for large organizations.
- Experience working with multicultural and international teams, including collaboration with external service providers in a multi‑sourced environment.
- CMDB, CSDM, and other relevant professional certifications.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), KAIT, VAIT, or similar frameworks.
- Experience in IT Service Continuity Management and/or Business Continuity Management.
