The HR Generalist serves as the primary point of contact for transactional HR services for managers and employees, providing practical, solution-oriented support when further guidance is needed after available self-service resources have been utilized. This role promotes a self-service-first approach while ensuring a responsive and user-friendly people experience through modern digital tools and platforms.
By ensuring high-quality operational delivery, continuous improvement, and increased automation enabled by AI, the HR Generalist contributes directly to business success. The role supports the ongoing evolution of HR services by driving innovation, simplifying processes, and delivering a seamless, consistent, and digital user experience.
Adaptable and pragmatic, the HR Generalist embraces new technologies and actively supports change initiatives. Effective collaboration with HR Operations, HR Business Partners, Product Houses, and external partners is essential to delivering consistent, compliant people services across regions.
What you will do
People Service Delivery & Process Excellence
- Deliver end-to-end HR processes with a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and a strong focus on data quality, compliance, and service excellence.
- Actively identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that simplify processes, enhance efficiency, and improve service delivery.
- Effectively prioritize and manage tasks, promptly escalating issues where required and driving them through to resolution.
- Ensure operational excellence in RUN activities through a strong understanding of business requirements, data flows, HR systems, and process interdependencies.
Employee & Manager Support
- Act as the primary day-to-day contact for employees, managers, and external stakeholders across a broad range of HR inquiries.
- Provide clear, consistent guidance on HR policies, processes, and standard employee matters, ensuring a positive and efficient user experience.
- Coordinate the timely handover of specialized, strategic, or complex cases to HR Business Partners or Product Houses when deeper functional expertise is required.
- Manage end-to-end administrative and transactional employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, offboarding, relocations, visa processing, and local HR reporting.
- Oversee benefits administration and vendor relationships in close partnership with the HR Country Lead, ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all People Services processes are appropriately documented and delivered in compliance with legal, regulatory, policy, and internal control requirements, as well as established Work Instructions.
- Maintain and review Process Diagrams and Work Instructions on a regular basis, including annual updates in collaboration with People Services Leads.
- Protect confidential employee information by upholding the highest standards of data privacy, data security, and information governance.
- Stay current with employment legislation and global HR processes to ensure guidance remains accurate, relevant, and compliant.
- Support audit, reporting, and other compliance-related activities by providing accurate information, documentation, and operational expertise.
Digital Enablement & Continuous Innovation
- Drive digital-first People Services delivery by leveraging modern technologies, automation, and user-friendly platforms to enhance efficiency and the employee experience.
- Identify and implement opportunities to simplify, streamline, and digitize end-to-end HR processes, improving service quality and operational effectiveness.
- Actively contribute to People Services initiatives, championing change and promoting the adoption of new ways of working.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, combined with 4+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or comparable role.
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end HR value chain, with solid expertise in employment law and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Proven experience managing HR services across multiple countries and regulatory environments.
- High level of digital proficiency, including hands-on experience with SAP HCM (including ad hoc reporting), SuccessFactors, and the Microsoft 365 suite (including Copilot), combined with a strong interest in AI-driven solutions. Experience with ServiceNow is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to and actively support change within a continuously evolving and digitally enabled HR environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret HR data and translate insights into meaningful actions.
- Proven experience contributing to HR digitalization initiatives, including automation, process optimization, service enhancement, and process redesign.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and support stakeholders through change.
- Continuous improvement mindset, with a strong commitment to learning, innovation, and the adoption of emerging technologies and modern ways of working.
- Experience with Generative AI, Data Analytics, Data Protection, Data Governance Human – AI interaction

- Experience in the asset management industry.
