Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Unix/Linux Administrator with 4–5 years of hands-on experience in managing enterprise Unix/Linux environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Red Hat, AIX, and Solaris systems, along with a good understanding of VMware ESX / Network / Storage technologies. This role is focused on ensuring system resilience through effective service recovery, disaster recovery (DR) testing, and root cause analysis (RCA) of incidents.

  • Perform service recovery for Unix/Linux/Windows systems to ensure minimal downtime and business continuity.
  • Conduct Disaster Recovery (DR) testing in coordination with business and infrastructure teams.
  • Involved in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for critical incidents.
  • Administer and maintain servers (Red Hat, AIX, Solaris) in production and DR environments.
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support during assigned shifts and respond to severity 1 incidents under pressure.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders during high-impact incidents and recovery efforts.
  • Worked with L1 in monitoring system performance and proactively addressing potential issues.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent
  • At least 4 years of experience in Linux/Unix Operating System
  • Fair knowledge in Unix/Linux troubleshooting
  • Good knowledge of ITIL processes, incident management and RCA methodologies.
  • Experience working in a bank is a plus
  • Experience working in Storage is a plus
