Business Continuity Management Analyst

CMC are hiring a Business Continuity Analyst to support the delivery, maintenance and continuous improvement of CMC Markets' Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework. Working closely with the Business Continuity Manager and stakeholders across Technology and the wider business, the role helps ensure business continuity plans remain accurate, tested and effective, supporting the organisation's operational resilience objectives.

What you will be doing:

  • Support the maintenance of the Business Continuity Policy, Framework and associated standards.
  • Assist in the annual review and maintenance of Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) across business functions.
  • Coordinate the review and maintenance of Business Recovery Plans (BRPs), ensuring documentation remains accurate and up to date.
  • Work with business stakeholders to gather information relating to critical business processes, dependencies and recovery objectives.
  • Coordinate Business Continuity testing exercises, including planning, scheduling, documenting outcomes and tracking remediation actions.
  • Produce reports, dashboards and management information (MI) to support Business Continuity governance and reporting.
  • Track actions arising from Business Continuity exercises, audits and reviews to completion.
  • Support the maintenance and administration of emergency notification and communication systems.
  • Assist during major incidents and business disruptions by providing coordination, documentation and logistical support.
  • Support the continuous improvement of Business Continuity and Operational Resilience processes through regular review and analysis.
  • Maintain Business Continuity documentation, templates and records to ensure they remain accurate and compliant.
  • Liaise with business and technology teams to promote awareness of Business Continuity practices and responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across EMEA and APAC to support a consistent global approach where appropriate.
  • Maintain knowledge of Business Continuity, Operational Resilience and relevant regulatory developments.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • Experience supporting Business Continuity or Operational Resilience activities within a medium or large organisation.
  • Understanding of Business Continuity principles and recognised standards (e.g. ISO 22301).
  • Experience assisting with Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and Business Recovery Plans (BRPs).
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyse information and produce clear documentation and reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.

Desirable:

  • Experience within Financial Services or another regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of Operational Resilience requirements.
  • Experience supporting Business Continuity exercises or crisis management activities.
  • Experience using Business Continuity or GRC platforms.
