Role Summary

As a Backend Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional squad responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services. You’ll contribute to building secure, high-performing applications while embracing modern engineering practices.

What you’ll do:

Develop and maintain robust backend applications and services
Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with databases and messaging systems
Write automated tests and support continuous delivery practices
Collaborate with team members to define and deliver business-driven solutions
Apply security best practices throughout the development lifecycle
Contribute to code quality, technical discussions, and team knowledge sharing
Stay updated with evolving technologies and engineering practices

Required Skills

We’re looking for individuals with a strong foundation in backend engineering and a collaborative mindset.

Must-have:

3+ years of experience in backend development
Proficiency in Java (Java 8 or higher; Java 11+ preferred)
Solid experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks
Hands-on experience with RESTful API development
Familiarity with Git or similar version control tools
Experience in test automation (e.g., JUnit, Mockito)
Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals (OOP, design patterns, TDD)
Effective communication skills and ability to work in global teams

Nice to have:

Experience with SQL, JPA, or Hibernate
Exposure to microservices architecture and containerization
Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines
Agile ways of working and adaptability to change
