Vendor Management Expert (People & Culture)(m/f/d)_2901
Allianz Insurance • BARCELONA, ES
About the Job
As a Vendor Management Expert within the People, Culture & Sustainability (PC&S) function, you shape the global vendor landscape for PC&S services. You partner with PC&S leaders to define needs, act as the PC&S lead for RfPs, and oversee vendor onboarding and offboarding in our function — ensuring compliant, consistent, and efficient engagements. A key focus is defining and implementing a vendor management strategy: creating transparency across the current P&C vendor landscape, establishing a governance framework aligned with the P&C strategy, and standardizing SLAs, performance scorecards, and accounting practices in close collaboration with Finance.
What you do
- Build and maintain a global P&C vendor inventory and taxonomy, mapping services, contracts, ownership, spend, and performance across markets. Define and implement a global vendor management strategy — including short- and long-term actions — that supports both the P&C strategy and broader business needs.
- Partner with P&C product houses to identify business needs and assess best-fit vendors; conduct market scans, capability assessments, due diligence, and act as PC&S lead for RfI/RfP processes end-to-end with transparent and auditable decisions.
- Support global Procurement and Legal teams, to ensure robust SLAs with clear cost association, KPIs, data privacy, information security, and compliance clauses.
- In alignment with global Procurement, design and operate standardized vendor onboarding and offboarding processes for the PC&S function defined by scope, including controls, access management, knowledge transfer, and risk mitigation.
- Establish vendor governance: operating cadence, QBRs, performance scorecards, risk management, and improvement plans; implement a benchmarking framework across cost, quality, delivery, innovation, and risk.
- Collaborate with Finance to standardize accounting taxonomy, plan and track spend, and develop dashboards and reporting for performance and spend insights — delivering data-driven recommendations for renewals, consolidation, or exits.
- Drive vendor rationalization and portfolio optimization to reduce complexity, improve value realization and, in collaboration with respective global expert teams, ensure full alignment with Allianz procurement policies and P&C governance.
What you bring
- Extensive vendor management and procurement experience in a global environment, ideally supporting People & Culture or other corporate functions.
- Experience leading RfIs/RfPs and/ or vendor selection processes.
- Expertise in defining SLAs/KPIs, operating governance, and performance scorecards; strong analytical and benchmarking skills.
- Solid financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis; experience standardizing accounting practices with Finance.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across People & Culture, Procurement, Legal, Information Security, and Finance.
- Process-oriented mindset with change management experience; skilled at standardizing ways of working and managing vendor transitions.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working across diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with AI technologies and GenAI platforms is a strong advantage.
