We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to join our IT Service Management engineering team. In your role you will be mainly developing, but not restricted to, ITSM, GRC/IRM and SecOps Streams.

YOUR CHALLENGE

  • Custom Application Development & Configuration: Architect and develop complex, scalable applications and module extensions tailored to business needs across Incident, Problem, Change, Request Management, Audit, Risk Assessment, and Threat Response workflows
  • System Integrations: Design and implement secure, reliable integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems (including SIEM, IAM, ERP, and cloud platforms) using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and event-based messaging patterns
  • Workflow and Process Automation: Engineer sophisticated automation flows to streamline governance processes, security operations, and service delivery—enhancing efficiency, reducing risk, and improving audit readiness
  • Performance Optimisation and Troubleshooting: Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, inefficient queries, and suboptimal script executions. Conduct root cause analysis and apply platform best practices to ensure high availability and responsiveness
  • Security and Access Control Management: Enforce strict adherence to security policies, role-based access controls (RBAC), segregation of duties (SoD), and audit requirements—ensuring all developments meet stringent financial industry standards
  • Working closely with architects, delivery managers, compliance officers, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into resilient, future-proof technical solutions

YOUR PROFILE

  • Advanced Scripting and Coding Expertise: Deep proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow server/client-side programming (Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, Client Scripts, REST Message APIs, Flow Designer)
  • Platform Architecture Understanding: Strong grasp of ServiceNow instance management, update set governance, CI/CD pipelines, scoped applications, and upgrade-safe development practices
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Thinking: Exceptional ability to analyse complex system behaviours, interpret logs, debug intricate issues, and deliver sustainable technical solutions
  • Integration and Interoperability Skills: Hands-on experience connecting ServiceNow with external systems via integration hubs, middleware, or direct APIs—ensuring data consistency, error handling, and monitoring
  • Collaborative Communication: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, explain technical concepts clearly, and contribute constructively to solution design discussions
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Technical expertise: Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks, ITSM tools (especially ServiceNow), and enterprise IT infrastructure
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer, with significant focus on ITSM modules
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in GRC and/or SecOps module development and configuration
  • Holder of ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) and Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – Custom Applications certifications
  • Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages are an asset in our multicultural environment
