About the Job

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Service Governance Strategy to join our COO organization in Spain. This senior leadership position will be responsible for defining, implementing, and continuously improving the overall governance framework and strategic direction of Service Governance within Allianz Technology.

The role ensures alignment with corporate rules, regulatory requirements and Group governance standards and functional collaboration across all service delivery functions as well as towards Allianz Group.

What you do

  • Define and implement the Service Governance framework and operating model to ensure alignment with Group standards and strategic objectives.
  • Anticipate regulatory developments, driving alignment within COO area and AZ Technology delivery teams and ensure compliance with Group Corporate Rules and external frameworks (e.g., NIS2, DORA).
  • Coordinate governance activities across portfolio and demand management including Digital Resilience Investment Portfolio, ensuring transparency, prioritization and effective resource use.
  • Act as the central liaison for governance-related communication and coordination between AZT, Group and regulatory stakeholders as well as local delivery teams in the branches.

What you bring

  • Proven ability to define and implement governance frameworks and operating models at a senior level, aligning with corporate and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to anticipate regulatory developments, assess their impact and drive alignment across complex organizational structures.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing cross-functional collaboration and acting as a central liaison between internal and external stakeholders, including Group, regulatory bodies, and local teams.
  • Solid understanding of corporate governance, regulatory requirements (e.g., NIS2, DORA) and risk management principles.
  • Experience in coordinating governance activities across portfolios, ensuring transparency, prioritization and effective resource allocation with the ability to articulate complex governance topics clearly and effectively to diverse audiences, including senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • A degree in Business Administration, Law, IT, or a related field is required; an advanced degree (e.g., MBA or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in governance, compliance, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a global organization.
  • Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles and their practical use.
