Commercial D&O and FI Claims Manager – native English

Description:

As Commercial D&O and FI Claims Manager reporting to the Financial Lines Head of Claims in our Barcelona office, you will lead a team responsible for UK Commercial D&O and FI claims within our wider Financial Lines Claims function.

Responsibilities:

• Management of a team handling UK Commercial D&O and FI (D&O, PI and Crime) claims.
• Handling a portfolio of UK Commercial D&O and FI claims and leading and overseeing the handling of claims by team members through all stages of adjustment.
• Monitor claims developments and report on them internally to senior management.
• Identify and track claims trends impacting the book and/or wider market.
• Lead communication and engagement with UK D&O and FI underwriting teams on individual claims, wording issues and claims trends.
• Participate in audits.
• Provide claims related training.
• Speak at internal and external claims related events.
• Attend external talks and conferences.
• Travel for claims meetings, internal events, conferences and marketing events.
• Assist UK underwriters with the preparation of renewal presentations and pitches for new business.
• Conduct performance evaluations
• Team strategy planning.

Requirements:

• Native level English.
• People management experience.
• D&O or FI claims adjusting experience, gained either in-house or for a law firm or as a loss adjuster.
• Applicants with other relevant insurance industry or legal work experience considered.
• Familiarity with ECF and other London market practices and procedures.
