Who will you join?
The Accounting Hub as part of Group Accounting and Reporting in H2 is a central provider of accounting functions for Allianz entities in Germany and worldwide. We provide a wide range of financial services and are a center of competence for investment accounting, subledger accounting, closing & reporting for insurance and non-insurance entities and the maintenance and development of our financial systems.
The Investment Closing & Reporting 3 team within the Accounting Hub is responsible for the accounting and valuation of investments for Allianz entities in Germany and abroad with a focus on participations.
The position plays a key role in ensuring high quality closing procedures and fulfilling compliant internal and external reporting requirements for complex participations of German investment portfolios.
How can you make an impact?
You will be responsible for:
- Accounting for participations of German insurance entities under HGB and IFRS
- Recording and management of participations, including acquisition booking, classification (interests, joint ventures), and asset management in the security portfolio in coordination with the trustee.
- Valuation of participations at various structural levels and maintenance of market values and master data in relevant systems
- Analysis of participation structures and implementation of accounting treatments in the SAP system
- Preparation of specific reports for the Allianz Group, German regulatory authorities, and Deutsche Bundesbank
- Acting as the central contact for investors and asset managers of participations
- Contributing to projects on process standardization, automation, and SAP-IMA enhancements
What are you made of?
You are eager to take on responsibility and actively shape processes, systems, and structures in the finance area. You are excited about collaborating with various Allianz entities, both domestically and internationally, as well as with regulatory authorities and auditors. Your key qualifications are:
- Degree in economics with a focus on accounting or finance
- Strong knowledge of investment products and experience with German investment law
- Proficiency in SAP, ideally S/4, and strong understanding of HGB and IFRS 9 accounting standards
- Excellent analytical and solution-oriented mindset, with strong communication and teamwork skills in both German and English
- Previous experience in insurance or asset management business functions, consulting, digital / tech is a plus
- Experience applying ChatGPT, Generative AI, and Ethical AI solution
