Brief Description
The M365 Cloud Engineer (AI & Automation) is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Microsoft 365 cloud solutions with a strong emphasis on AI-driven automation. This role leverages the latest Microsoft 365 technologies—including Power Platform, Copilot, and automation tools—to enhance productivity, streamline business processes, and ensure secure, compliant, and scalable digital workplaces.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft 365 services with a focus on AI and automation (Power Platform, Copilot, Power Automate, Power Apps, and related tools).
- Develop and implement automation solutions to optimize business processes and workflows across SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange Online.
- Integrate AI capabilities (e.g., M365 Copilot, AI-powered bots, and analytics) into M365 environments to drive digital transformation.
- Ensure security, compliance, and governance of all M365 and automation solutions in accordance with internal and regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, DORA, ISO 27001).
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and deliver tailored solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, service requests, and performance issues related to M365 automation and AI services.
- Provide technical guidance, documentation, and training to end users and IT colleagues on AI and automation best practices.
- Monitor service health, usage, and adoption of AI and automation tools, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay up to date with emerging Microsoft 365, AI, and automation technologies and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 engineering, with a strong focus on automation and AI integration.
- Hands-on experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI), M365 Copilot, and scripting (PowerShell).
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 services (SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online) and their integration with automation tools.
- Experience with security, compliance, and governance in cloud environments.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Power Platform certifications, or similar.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process optimization skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Fluent in English, German B2 are an advantage.
