Head of Public Markets Equity and Credit - Group Investment Strategy (m/f/d)

Job purpose/role

Allianz Group Investment Strategy develops the global investment outlook and strategy for insurance portfolios worldwide. Our research and market intelligence help identify trends, opportunities and risks across global markets.

We partner with colleagues within the global network of Allianz Investment Management and our internal and external asset managers in designing our group investment strategy and tailoring it to specific needs of insurance portfolios. The function is led by the Allianz’ Group Chief Investment Officer.

As Head of Public Markets Equity and Credit, you lead our research and strategy for public markets equities and credit. Combining team leadership and hands-on market expertise, you shape investment positioning and deliver insights that drive sustainable performance and long-term value for Allianz, its clients and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of senior equity and credit strategists
• Produce research, market views and internal and external publications that shape Allianz's macro and market outlook
• Analyse global equity and credit markets to identify investment opportunities, risks and emerging trends
• Develop investment strategies, asset allocation recommendations and portfolio solutions for Allianz insurance portfolios
• Partner with Allianz-mandated portfolio managers to translate strategy into investment decisions and performance outcomes
• Drive quantitative and cross-asset research to support Allianz's investment outlook and recommendations
• Present investment insights and recommendations to committees, senior stakeholders

Key requirements/skills/experience

• 10+ years of experience in public market equity, research, investment strategy or portfolio management
• Proven leadership experience, including team development and performance management; complemented by successful completion of the Allianz Executive Development Center (for internal Allianz candidates)
• Deep expertise in equity and credit markets, demonstrated through original research and investment recommendations
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including experience with AI-driven analysis and market data
• Hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to combine strategy and execution
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present investment views to senior stakeholders, investment committees and external audiences
