Business Manager CEO Office (f/m/d)

In this role, you will support the CEO Office and the Executive Committee in shaping and implementing the strategy of Allianz Global Investors. You will work closely with the CEO, the Executive Committee, the CEO Office, and senior leadership on strategic priorities and the execution of high-impact projects across the firm. You will be responsible for translating complex strategic questions into clear analyses, options, recommendations, and execution plans.

The Business Manager, CEO Office, is expected to act as a senior sparring partner to business areas and functions across the firm, bringing strong asset management expertise, structured problem-solving skills, project leadership, and excellent communication capabilities. The role reports to the Head of the CEO Office.

What you will do

  • Support the Executive Committee and CEO Office in designing, articulating, and implementing Allianz Global Investors' strategy.
  • Lead and steer firm-wide strategic projects and initiatives, transformation programs, and complex cross-functional problem-solving efforts.
  • Structure multifaceted business questions, develop fact-based analyses, and translate findings into strategic options, recommendations, and decision papers.
  • Own selected initiatives end-to-end, including scope definition, governance, milestone tracking, stakeholder alignment, escalation management, and benefits realization.
  • Prepare high-quality materials for the CEO, Executive Committee (ExCo), shareholder, and senior management forums, including strategy narratives, business cases, and executive communications.
  • Support the annual Strategic Dialogue, Planning Dialogue, and strategic planning process, including preparation, follow-up, and implementation tracking.
  • Act as the senior interface between the CEO Office, corporate functions, regional leadership, and key stakeholders on selected priorities.
  • Monitor market, competitive, and industry developments in asset management and derive implications for Allianz Global Investors' strategic agenda.
  • Support the continuous improvement of CEO Office processes, ways of working, knowledge management, and the use of digital and Generative AI tools.

What you bring

The ideal candidate has significant experience in financial markets and the asset management industry, ideally combined with experience in corporate strategy, strategic project leadership, or top-tier management consulting. In particular, we are looking for the following capabilities and experiences:

  • Excellent university degree in business administration, economics, finance, or a related field of study.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in asset management, financial services, corporate development, a CEO or strategy office, transaction advisory, or management consulting.
  • Proven track record of leading strategic projects or transformation initiatives involving senior leadership.
  • Experience working with C-suite stakeholders and the ability to act as a trusted sparring partner to senior leaders.
  • Excellent structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly understand complex topics, assess strategic implications, and develop pragmatic recommendations.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills, including the ability to develop business cases, scenarios, decision frameworks, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare concise and compelling materials for senior management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder management, and influencing skills across seniority levels, functions, regions, and cultures.
  • Strong sense of ownership, prioritization skills, attention to detail, resilience, and the ability to work effectively under time pressure.
  • Fluent in English; German and additional languages are a plus.
  • Proven ability to effectively leverage Generative AI and personal productivity tools; advanced knowledge of data analytics and artificial intelligence is a plus.
  • Passion and a strong motivation to drive change, create impact, and support the firm's strategic development.
