GTB Select, Senior Vice President Country: China

This role is part of the Global Transaction Banking (GTB) division at Santander Corporate Investment Banking (SCIB). As a core leader for the GTB Select global strategy in Asia, you will be fully responsible for formulating the Asia GTB Select strategy, designing the execution roadmap, and commercializing the ambitious business plan. You will need to manage the end-to-end client lifecycle, focusing on Asian Large Local Corporates and reputable regional business partners. Through aggressive promotion of GTB structured and innovative solutions, you are expected to support the achievement of the division’s overall performance targets. You will also act as the GTB Select Asia representative to coordinate with Global team and actively cross-sell Santander worldwide franchise.

Strategy Development & Target Achievement: aligning with global GTB Select strategy, develop and execute the Asia GTB Select strategy to ensure the realization of budget and portfolio growth.

Strategic Hunting: proactively identify and target high-potential Asian large local corporate clients; through deep understanding of their business and diagnostics, translate their financial needs into executable GTB solutions. Explore business partnerships with Asian reputable market aggregators to promote GTB innovative solutions and profile Santander’s competitive differentiators in Asia.

Relationship Stewardship: act as the primary financial advisor to clients, building long-term trust and becoming the preferred partner in cross-border working capital and cash management. As the client coverage lead, conduct in-depth client needs discovery, preform opportunity analysis and credit assessments, and execute customized GTB solutions.

Cross-Functional and Cross-Geographical Collaboration: Work closely with the Risk Management team to lead the entire credit assessment and application. Collaborate with GTB product teams to drive the end-to-end closure of solution design and transaction execution. Partner with teams across different regions to facilitate the opportunity identification and deal closure.

First Line of Défense: strictly fulfil the first line of defence responsibilities, comprehensively managing financial, credit, legal, reputational, and compliance risks, etc.
