Head of Payments and back-office

What you do
- Develop and implement the bank's payments strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and growth in payment services with focus on digital channels.
- Collaborate with senior management to integrate payment solutions with other banking services.
- Oversee daily operations of the payments department, ensuring high level of automation, efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts related to payment services.
- In-depth knowledge of EU payment regulations.
- Lead the adoption of new payment technologies and platforms.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate technology solutions and STPs.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives within the payments function.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing payments team.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in payments, banking, or financial services, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of payment systems, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and projects.
