The Mission
As CJE - Fraud Management Product Expert (FMPE) Authentication & Consent you report hierarchically to the Product lead Authentication & Consent global within the Area of fraud Prevention, where multiple fraud prevention leads and products come together. You act as a senior business counterpart for BTP / Retail Banking Technology, who are responsible for IT delivery of global Authentication & Consent platforms. The FMPE shapes global standards, translates regulation into actionable requirements, and drives execution in line with ING’s strategy to globalize, standardize and productize digital fraud capabilities.
The global Authentication & Consent team is newly established and starts as a small, focused expert team. This offers the opportunity to drive early impact, lead complex global change initiatives end‑to‑end and help mature Authentication & Consent into a globally adopted core fraud capability.
You are the product expert we are looking for if you have a good knowledge of banking business processes/products, technical background, and experience in designing APIs. The ideal candidate has a solid experience (typically 5+ years) of experience in banking industry, plus the technical skills that will help him/her perform in this role.
Your day to day
Stakeholder leadership & alignment
Act as the senior business counterpart for BTP / Retail Banking Technology and local stakeholders across Fraud, Tech, Risk, KYC and Digital. Drive alignment across countries with different maturity levels, influencing without formal authority and leading global change initiatives.Global standards, policy & requirements
Own and evolve global Authentication & Consent standards and policies. Translate EU and local regulations into clear, implementable requirements aligned with internal compliance and audit expectations. Ensure consistent interpretation and application of global standards across countries.Product ownership & delivery
Shape and prioritize the global Authentication & Consent backlog in close collaboration with IT and Product Leads. Lead global gap analyses, define realistic improvement roadmaps and support country adoption. Establish key milestones and maintain end‑to‑end involvement across the product lifecycle using structured delivery plans and QBRs.Close collaboration with IT
Work closely with IT and architecture teams to translate business, regulatory and fraud requirements into actionable inputs. Actively participate in refinement, planning and design sessions to ensure clarity, feasibility and quality of delivery. Ensure decisions, changes and assumptions are properly documented for traceability and shared understanding.External developments & continuous improvement
Monitor relevant fraud trends, regulatory changes and technology evolution and translate them into concrete product or platform improvements. Ensure Authentication & Consent products are fit for purpose, scalable and correctly implemented to support fraud prevention capabilities.
What you’ll bring to the team
- Strong experience at the intersection of business, regulation and IT delivery in a global or multi‑country environment.
- Proven ability to drive standardization and adoption across countries.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to simplify complex topics for senior stakeholders.
- Hands‑on experience working closely with IT delivery teams.
- Ability to review and understand technical artefacts such as sequence diagrams, flow diagrams and APIs (nice to have).
- Relevant experience is more important than formal education; a Master’s degree is a plus, not a strict requirement.
- We need your proactive mindset and communication skills.
- We depend on your abilities to speak and understand the English language, and we count on you being customer-focused and self-organized.
- You also have strong analytical skills and logical thinking.
- You must be able to think strategically, see the bigger picture and question everything.
