Expert PPSS Intelligence Tactical/Operational
Help Keep ING a Step Ahead
At ING, we believe people should spend more time focusing on what matters most to them and less time worrying about risks and uncertainty. That's where our security professionals make a difference.
We're looking for an Expert PPSS Intelligence Tactical/Operational to help protect ING's people, assets, and operations worldwide. If you're passionate about intelligence analysis, security risk management, and turning complex threat information into practical action, we'd like to hear from you.
Role Summary
As an Expert PPSS Intelligence Tactical/Operational, you'll play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and communicating threats that may impact ING globally. You will analyze tactical and operational developments across geopolitical, ideological, criminal, and regional security domains and transform intelligence into actionable recommendations. Your work will directly support risk mitigation, operational planning, crisis preparedness, and decision-making across the organization.
This role combines strategic thinking with operational execution and offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact within a global organization.
About the Team
You will join ING's Global Personal & Physical Safety & Security (PPSS) community and work closely with PPSS specialists across multiple countries. Collaborating with colleagues from security, HR, communications, and business functions, you'll contribute to a safer environment for our people and operations worldwide. You'll also build relationships with external partners including law enforcement and intelligence agencies while supporting crisis preparedness and incident response activities.
Required Skills and Experience
We're looking for someone who brings:
- Proven experience in security management, preferably within financial services or another highly regulated industry
- Strong knowledge of intelligence, threat assessment, and risk analysis
- Experience with personal and physical safety and security programs
- Understanding of security-related regulatory and compliance requirements
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear recommendations
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities
- Sound judgment and proactive problem-solving skills
- Experience operating effectively in complex, multicultural environments
- The ability to prioritize and drive results in fast-paced situations
- Willingness to participate in on-call security response activities when required
- Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related discipline
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
What We Offer
- Meaningful work with global impact
- Opportunities to collaborate with international experts and stakeholders
- Continuous learning and professional development
- Challenging projects in a dynamic security environment
- A culture that values curiosity, responsibility, and collaboration
- The chance to help shape security intelligence capabilities across ING
Don't meet every requirement? We encourage you to apply anyway. Research shows that many talented professionals only apply when they meet every qualification. We believe skills, potential, and diverse perspectives matter just as much as experience.
