Your Role
In 2022, Swiss Life Global Solutions bought elipsLife. elipsLife is a unique B2B insurance company offering solutions in life and disability insurance. elipsLife has 3 core markets, operating in Switzerland, the Netherlands and Italy.
Based in the Swiss Life Global Solutions office in Luxembourg, you will work for the elipsLife business.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Supporting the monthly and quarterly technical closing under Local Stat and IFRS
- Preparing of periodic reporting (regulatory reporting, financial reporting, tax reporting)
- Liaising with external auditors for statutory and consolidated results
- Working independently on day-to-day accounting activities.
- Maintaining, processing and reconciling technical accounts, including premium, claims, and reinsurance recoveries.
- Conducting premium and claims reconciliations, ensuring proper allocation and settlement
- Maintaining weekly cash reconciliation and cash allocation across various markets
- Proactively analyzing and proposing areas of automation to improve the day-to-day process
- Participating in projects in coordination with other team members and technical experts
- Supporting the Team in improving processes to deliver the best quality accounts in a control minded environment
Your Profile
- Graduate in Accounting, Finance, or any related field
- Extensive expertise in accounting, generally acquired over several years in this field
- Experience working in international settings and/or the insurance industry is considered as a strong asset.
- Business fluency in English.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal) in German are an advantage
- Computer literate (MS Office) with a sound knowledge of Excel.
- Prior SAP experience would be considered as an advantage
- Comfortable collaborating with team members across multiple locations, detail-oriented, organized, reliable, and adaptable to changing priorities
- Self-driven individual with strong analytical and conceptual skills and the ability to understand different perspectives
- Highly motivated team player, able to deliver results and to cope with tight deadlines and high workload in a fast-changing environment
- Flexibility to travel to other locations from time to time
