About the Job
As part of the Allianz Technology Group Legal Department, you advise the business within the legal team of the Spanish branch of Allianz Technology SE in all legal areas (except for tax law). You provide business oriented legal advice to safeguard the interests of the company, to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations and to support and guide the (senior) management on legal matters. Your focus will be in the areas of IT- and commercial law.
You will represent the company towards external partners and government authorities and steer external law firms wherever needed. In your role you will be functionally integrated into the Legal Region 2 team of Allianz Technology which consists of lawyers across several jurisdictions.
What you do
- Provide business-oriented legal advice to all levels of management and staff. Monitor, research and address legal issues within the company / branch.
- Draft and negotiating IT contracts (e.g. software licenses, SaaS, outsourcing, technology partnership) and commercial services agreements both with third parties and intragroup.
- Supporting and ensuring compliance with applicable (regulatory) legislation relevant for our business such as NIS2, Dora, AI Act etc. Ensure implementation of internal governance policies and raise awareness of, and develop legal risk mitigation measures.
- Work with the global Allianz Technology Legal community in developing and enhancing practices and procedures
- Work in cross-functional teams as required and in line with evolving business needs and the regulatory environment.
- Conduct trainings and oversee and steer external legal counsel, where applicable.
- Closely follow legislative processes both on a national and international level and help to identify necessary steps for their implementation at Allianz Technology.
What you bring
- An admission to a bar in Spain, a Master Degree in Spanish law or a similar qualification that enables you to practice (commercial) law in Spain. Knowledge in the field of insurance regulation is an advantage.
- 2+ years experience working as an in-house attorney in an international company or as an attorney in an international law firm with a focus on IT-, commercial and / or contract law;
- Excellent language skills in Spanish and English. Additional language skills in Portuguese are an advantage.
- A good understanding of the business environment and are eager to work in an international environment as well as the ability to work well in a team and have excellent communication skills.
- An entrepreneurial spirit and are well-organized, strong negotiation skills and follow an analytical approach.
- The ability to work independently and be a trustful advisor to the local management and keen attention to details.
- Familiarity with AI technologies and GenAI platforms is a strong advantage.
