The Senior HR Generalist plays a crucial role in designing, executing and managing various HR processes, including employee relations, performance management, policy implementation, hiring, onboarding, engagement, payroll and compliance. This position requires a strategic thinker who can also execute HR initiatives effectively to support the organisation's goals and foster a positive work environment.

What you do

The Senior HR Generalist plays a crucial role in designing, executing and managing various HR processes, including employee relations, performance management, policy implementation, hiring, onboarding, engagement, payroll and compliance. This position requires a strategic thinker who can also execute HR initiatives effectively to support the organisation's goals and foster a positive work environment.

*We are currently seeking someone for a temporary position of 6 months to cover a maternity leave.

Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations:

    • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and resolutions on complex matters.
    • Conduct investigations, facilitate conflict resolution, and ensure fair treatment of all employees.
    • Proactively identify trends and recommend solutions to improve employee engagement and morale.
    • Manage and execute the end to end hiring-onboarding-exit cycle.
  • Performance Management and Development:

    • Implement performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning.
    • Provide guidance to managers and employees on performance issues, career development, and training opportunities.
    • Drive initiatives to enhance employee performance and productivity.
    • Support the engagement survey (AES) process end to end.
    • Support the design and follow up of action plans derived from AES results.
  • HR Policy and Compliance:

    • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that comply with legal requirements and align with organisational values and governance.
    • Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
    • Conduct audits and assessments to monitor adherence to policies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Training and Development:

    • Identify training needs across the organisation and support the development of training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
    • Coordinate and facilitate training sessions on topics such as leadership development, diversity and inclusion, and compliance.
    • Evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • HR Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Compile and analyse HR metrics to support business decisions and monitor key HR indicators.
    • Prepare regular reports on HR activities, such as turnover rates, recruitment metrics, demographics analysis and training effectiveness.
    • Use data insights to identify trends, predict future needs, and drive HR strategies.
    • Conduct and ensure exit interviews and surveys for data analytics

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as an HR Generalist or in a similar role, with a focus on employee relations, data management and performance management.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service orientation.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • SAP, Success Factors or any HRIS certification is a plus.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate HR strategies into actionable plans.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Proactive and adaptable in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organisation
