Your role & work environment

Leasing is serviced through ING Lease Belgium, a subsidiary of ING Bank Belgium locally and Global Leasing internationally.

As an International Structured Lease Expert, you are the ambassador on behalf of ING Lease Belgium, for both our Wholesale Banking customers and ING Bank Belgium. You create visibility in the market and in the distribution channel of Wholesale Banking within ING. At Lease, we have arranged numerous leasing facilities and are involved in all lease-related matters of the client relationship. You contribute to the planned growth in production and profitability, while respecting the strategy and guidelines of Lease.

You report to the Sales Manager of Lease and are part of the Sales team Equipment lease.

Your key responsibilities

• You visit customers, with or without other lease colleagues or relationship managers, in the framework of the lease relationship, gathering relevant information and originating new transactions.
• You will structure and lead the negotiation of the credit facilities with the customer and the follow up of the implementation/documentation of new credit facilities with other bank colleagues and/or in collaboration with inhouse Legal Department or external legal counsel.
• You are expected to lead the origination and execution of complex / non-standard deals such as syndication and cross-border leasing with support of other colleagues and teams from the bank.
• You will take responsibility for the internal alignment of stakeholders and preparation of asset advice and defend the credit request for approval to relevant approval mandate holders.
• You increase lease awareness with the colleagues of Wholesale Banking in ING.
• You build expertise in the continuous evolution of the sustainable, circular economy and specialized leasing matters: technical, tax, legal, markets trends…

As International Lease Expert you have:

Knowledge:

• a university degree (or comparable).
• knowledge of banking or leasing products, services and processes.

Work experience:

• 5 years’ working experience in a commercial/corporate banking environment.

Skills:

• a dealmaker, commercial by nature but nevertheless risk aware.
• client driven and able to translate the client’s needs in an added-value proposition.
• at ease in Wholesale Banking business environments.
• a team player who is used to work independently.
• strong stakeholder management skills.
• entrepreneurial mindset, go-getter and obstacle remover.
• well organized and stress resistant.
• strong analytical & structuring skills with the ability to synthesize.
• strong negotiation skills on CEO/CFO level.
• excellent oral and written skills in in English, Dutch and/or French are a plus.
