Finance Manager

Location: Sydney

Job specification

Reporting to the Financial Controller to assist to manage, control and oversee the superannuation Business.

  • Prepare and monitor AFSL financial requirements including NTA, SLF, cash projections etc.
  • Coordinate and perform month-end closing with the GSC team and resolve issues timely to ensure accuracy and smooth process
  • Handle ad-hoc projects.
  • Review and oversee Balance sheet reconciliation/Management accounts, including maintenance of fixed asset registers, accounting for intangibles and capitalised development costs, management of receivables and payables.
  • Manage monthly and quarterly internal reporting to track ongoing financial compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with Statutory requirements including tax, GST.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring accurate revenue recognition, streamlining invoicing processes, analysing monthly revenue, ensuring appropriate accruals (where required).
  • Preparing and assisting in presenting reports to FP&A global teams.
  • Assist in dealing with the external auditor and other professional parties and completion of annual financial statements.
  • Assisting in preparation of board reports.
  • Streamlining & improving processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness, and collaborating with stakeholders to issue invoices in time.
  • Assisting in responding to queries from other parts of the Business (where required).
  • Participate in ad hoc assignments or other projects.

Skills Required:

  • Degree holder in Accounting /Finance and other related business discipline.
  • Working knowledge of the AFSL, Corporations Act, ASIC Act, and applicable regulatory guides.
  • C.A., C.P.A., or equivalent qualification with post qualification experience.
  • Experience of dealing with teams across the Globe with demonstrated ability to adhere to tight deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel
  • Proven experience and understanding of accruals, revenue recognition, AR activities and financial reporting to delivery accurate and meaningful results
